E-Mail Marketing: How do you make sure your constituency and/or your customers remember you. Before our project began, the Humane Society of the United States, sent irregular e-mails. Its only title, HumaneLines was aimed only at animal welfare activists. The web audience of the HSUS was smaller than other animal welfare organizations (it's competitors), despite its larger size and larger donor roll. We helped HSUS develop a new newsletter title aimed at the core HSUS audience: owners of pets. The newsletter includes tips on care, news relevant to pet owners and messages aimed at clutivating donors who care about the welfare of animals. The HSUS' internet audience is now largest among animal welfare organization, its e-mail list grew to 25 times it's initial size, giving over the internet was more than triple in the first year of the project, rose in the second year to more than six times the initial level and in the third year exceeded intitial levels by more than 125 times.
